Broadway in Bryant Park: 2026 Free Summer Concert Schedule, plus A Look Back

Broadway in Bryant Park has announced the lineup for this summer’s four free Thursday lunchtime concerts, performed by the casts from currently running shows, which will begin on July 23. Below is the schedule, plus some nostalgia — still shots, videos and shorts from past performances at Broadway in Bryant Park, which began 26 years ago.

They’re doing things differently this year: Of the 23 shows whose casts are scheduled to perform, only four opened on Broadway this past season, including Tony winners “Schmigadoon” and “The Lost Boys,” and another four are Off-Broadway shows, including “Heathers” and “Heated Rivalry.” Unlike previous summers in Bryant Park, there are no preview performances of shows opening next fall, although the schedule is subject to change.

The videos below are from a dozen of the same shows that are scheduled to perform again this year: &Juliet, Aladdin, the Book of Mormon, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, Just in Time, Maybe Happy Ending, MJ, Moulin Rouge, The Outsiders, Six and Wicked. I add the most popular video — the prologue from “Natasha, Pierre and the Comet of 1812,” from 2013.
