



























Below is my preview guide of Broadway openings* in the 2026-2027 season, which has already begun, and so far promises a couple of hit British imports, the Broadway premiere of the world’s longest running musical, the Broadway debuts of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Rosamund Pike. a new solo show by Billy Crystal, and the return to Broadway of composers Richard Rodgers and Andrew Lloyd Webber, playwrights Jon Robin Baitz, Suzie Miller, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Clifford Odets and Aaron Sorkin, and director Jamie Lloyd (twice!) as well as actor Raul Esparza after an absence of fourteen years

For its Broadway premiere, it has been reimagined as a contemporary gay love story.
