“Liberation” by Bess Wohl won won best play and “Schmigadoon” by Cinco Paul best musical at the 79th annual Tony Award, with “Ragtime” best revival of a musical. “Death of A Salesman” won six awards overall, including best revival of a play
Ragtime’s John Henry and Caissie Levy won best lead actor and actress in a musical, while John Lithgow from “Giant” and Lesley Manville from “Oedipus” won best leading actor and actress respectively in a play.
