10 Most Watched Broadway Videos in 2023

The ten videos below were the most viewed in 2023 of those that I’ve posted either on this blog or on my YouTube channel, @NewYorkTheaterme, arranged in order of popularity. I’m not sure what it says that most of these most popular videos were created pre-pandemic, going back as far as 2015, and that only one of the ten was made this year. So, below the top 10 most-watched in 2023, I’ll add a few that were made in 2023.

The most popular pandemic-era video: Jake Gyllenhaal sings “Across the Way,” which was an original digital theater musical piece, part of the 24 Hour Plays’ Viral Monologues, written especially for him by Jeanine Tesori and David Lindsay-Abaire.
