Watch Hadestown in Bryant Park

Principal cast members of “Hadestown” escaped from the dark Underworld to the bright midday sun of a Broadway in Bryant Park lunchtime concert to perform four of the numbers from the 2019 Tony-winning best musical that they deliver every night at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theater. Watch Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada who originated the roles of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Jewelle Blackman, who has been Persephone since April, and T. Oliver Reid, who’s been Hermes since June.

My (ecstatic) review when it (re)opened on Broadway.

Jewelle Blackman as Persephone introduces herself in an excerpt from the song “Our Lady of the Underground”

Soara-Joye Ross, Jesse Shelton and Kay Trinidad as the Fates perform from “When The Chips are Down”
