To promote their forthcoming performances on Broadway in Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land and Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, which opens in November, famed British actors Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen have posed at — or with — some quintessential New York landmarks.

They also posed in front of such NYC landmarks as a pile of big black plastic garbage bags curbside. Not the weirdest theater event of the decade.
