Wicked, which tells the story of the witches leading up to the Wizard of Oz, opened on Broadway on October 30, 2003. Two years earlier, Bryant Park began presenting songs from Broadway shows during summer lunchtime concerts. Cast members from Wicked have performed in Broadway in Bryant Park concerts for years, and 2012 is no exception.
