Six albums have been nominated for the best musical theater album Grammy Award, all of them of current or recent Broadway shows (the third consecutive year that only Broadway cast recordings have been nominated in the category.) The 67th annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 2, and be broadcast live on CBS from Los Angeles.

The lyricist(s) and composer(s) of 50% or more of a score of a new recording are eligible for an Award if any previous recording of said score has not been nominated in this category.”
