
Election Day is in one month from today, November 5, 2024. Here’s what you need to know in order to vote in the General Election in New York City.
Registration
In order to vote in New York, you have to be registered. If you haven’t registered to vote in New York, you must do so by October 26, 2024. The board of elections must receive your registration by that date in person, online or by mail.

Request online or by mail by October 26.
Early Voting
Early voting is available from October 26 to November 3. The poll site is different for early voting than on Election Day, and the hours of operation differ (See link below.)
