In the video below, dozens of Broadway performers have recorded the song from “Les Miserables” with a slightly altered title on behalf of the more than two hundred people who were kidnapped in Israel on October 7th. The names and ages of the victims run along the bottom of the video, which concludes with a collage of the victims’ faces.
Among the performers’ faces I recognized in the video: Annaleigh Ashford, Julie Benko, Sierra Boggess, Carolee Carmello, Victoria Clark, Micaela Diamond, Tovah Feldshuh, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Jeremy Jordan, Derek Klena, Linda Lavin, Raymond J. Lee, Caissie Levy, Jose Llana, Terrence Mann, Debra Messing, Jessie Mueller, Alex Newell, Kelli O’Hara, Benjamin Pajak, Billy Porter, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley.
(Corrections, additions much appreciated.)
This song also connects me to Memorial and Veterans Day as well. Just the perfect song for those Holidays
I believe that Melissa Manchester also participated?
I don’t know if this is where I convey my thanks to the Broadway artists — both those in front of and behind the camera — who performed “Bring Them Home” for the hostages held by Hamas, but if it is not, could you kindly kindly kindly forward this email?
To All of You …who took part in “Bring Them Home: A Broadway Prayer,” I want to express my very deep appreciation. I cannot tell you how much this songful prayer means to me, a religious Jew, a mom, a Bubbie, a Baltimore City teacher, a fellow human being. How much it means to all of us who are praying daily for the safe and speedy return of every single one of the captives. Our hearts hurt.
We are all so moved that each of you from the Broadway community care, that you took your talent, your time, your effort to perform this song. I listen to this song daily, and I look at the compassion in your faces. It gives me hope in the goodness of the world. Unfortunately, we who love Israel and who pray for peace often feel bombarded by hatred.
May G-d bless each and every one of you. May Hashem, G-d, answer your prayer, my prayer, our prayer with love and compassion. Thank you. I am so appreciative.

Stunningly beautiful! Thank you
So many thanks when so many settings have signed petitions supporting Hamas. Arlene Blut, Las Vegas
Was Raul Esparza one of the singers?
