Earth Day on Broadway 2023

In celebration of the 53rd annual Earth Day today, thirty blocks of Broadway between Union Square and Times Square will be closed to vehicular traffic, and alive with pop-up performances along the route,  including a Broadway Celebrates Earth Day Concert on Broadway at 46th Street from 10 am to 3 pm, featuring such Broadway stars as Anika Larsen of Avenue Q etc. and Bad Cinderella’s Jordan Dobson (above) — as well as Philippe Arroyo (& Juliet), Mara Davi (A Chorus Line), Laurel Harris (Jagged Little Pill), Alli Mauzey (Kimberly Akimbo), Michael James Scott (Aladdin), Jason Tam (Be More Chill), Alysha Umphress (On The Town) — which is being streamed online by Stars in the House, below

Every day is Earth Day to its organizers, who offer  52 actions and tips to make a difference, every day of the year, eg:

Use the Internet, not trees
Calculate your “foodprint”
Switch to reusable bags
Switch to online billing
Buy local food
Practice “sustainable fashion”
