2022 Tony Award Nominations. A Strange Loop, MJ, Lehman Trilogy lead

“A Strange Loop” received 11 nominations and both “MJ The Musical” and “Paradise Square” ten, the most for musicals, and “The Lehman Trilogy” received eight, the most for a play, at the 2022 Tony Award nomination announcement by Joshua Henry and Adrienne Warren this morning. The nominations were selected by 29 nominators this year from a total of 34 eligible shows vying for awards in 26 categories. To be eligible, the shows had to have opened between Feb. 20, 2020, and May 4, 2022.

The winners of the 75th annual Tony Awards will be presented in a June 12th ceremony, with host Ariana DeBose, at Radio City Music Hall, broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
