Forty-five years after the Stonewall Riots launched the modern gay rights movement, the annual LGBTQ Pride Parade has grown into a celebration with some 300 different “marching contingents” (non-profits, community organizations, small businesses, political candidates, an increasing number of corporate sponsors – and, oh, yes, still plenty of activists) and some 50 floats. For the first time this year, it was livestreamed.
