Although I thought long and hard about this question, upon which hangs the fate of the theater industry, I could not find one redeeming aspect to “Breakfast at Tiffanys” although I am also prepared to go out on a limb and say I feel just as hostile toward “Mathilda,” a great big hit but which I found to be the most painfully loud and condescendingly incomprehensible (to those not already familiar with the book) and aggressively over-produced musical of the year.
