Broadway on the Hudson 2013: Newsies, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages, etc.

JustinGuariniBroadwayontheHudsonconcertKrysta Rodriguez from First Date and Justin Guarini from Romeo and Juliet played host to a lunch-time concert presenting songs from eight musicals on Broadway. I’m going to post them as I process them.

First up: Joey Calvari sings Dead or Alive from “Rock of Ages”

Hugh Panaro and Mary Michael Patterson sing from “Phantom of the Opera”

Julie Foldesi perform from “Newsies”

Jake Odmark and Jodi McFadden perform from “Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark”

Donna Marie Asbury and Bianca Marraquin perform from “Chicago the Musical”

Erik Altemus and Gabrielle McClinton perform from “Pippin”

Jill Abramovitz, Alessa Neeck and Andy Jones perform from Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella

Danette Cassety as Miss Hannigan performs “Little Girls” from “Annie”

Sadie Sink sings “Tomorrow” from “Annie”

Krysta Rodriguez and Justin Guarini wrap things up.

At the end of the concert, The Broadway League handed out cards for a free playlist of 16 songs from Broadway shows — more than half of them shows that are no longer playing on Broadway.
