Broadway Animal Actors Poll: Annie or Pippin? Dog, Cat or Vulture?

The Beasts of BroadwayDid Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale” feature a real bear? We know that “Gypsy” had a little lamb, “Legally Blonde” both a chihuahua and a bulldog; Sam Shepard’s “The Curse of the Starving Class” requires a live sheep.

Animals are in. Have there ever been more beasts on Broadway? Take the poll below to choose your favorite.

(Note: Sandy in “Annie” is actually played by a dog named Sunny, with an understudy named Casey. But they are truly Method actors, and I think it’s ok to call them by their character’s name.)
