Jeremy Jordan, who made a splash on Broadway in “Bonnie and Clyde” and especially “Newsies,” plays Jimmy Collins, whom Jordan describes as a “charming womanizer”  and “a gifted musical genius,” in the second season of Smash. His writing partner Kyle (Andy Mientus) wants them to push their show on Broadway. But Jimmy is protective of his gift.

“I never thought of being on Smash. I thought the next step in my career would be something non-musical.”

“I think [the second season] is going to be a little less bubble-gummy…”
