Both “Schmigadoon” and “Cats: The Jellicle Ball” get lots of love in the nominations for the 2026 Chita Rivera Awards for dance and choreography, on Broadway and the movies, announced this morning. The awards will be presented on May 18 at 7:30pm at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
This year, the Chita Rivera Awards will be honoring Ann-Margret with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Gotta Dance” is this year’s recipient of The Douglas and Ethel Watt Critics’ Choice Award.
