Broadway’s new Elphaba and Glinda performed at Week 2 of this summer’s series of Broadway in Bryant Park lunchtime concerts, now celebrating its 25th anniversary season — which is older even than “Wicked,” but not than “Chicago,” whose twenty-second Matron “Mama” Morton also performed in Bryant Park on Thursday.
Below are videos of the half dozen current Broadway shows (one of which, Gypsy, announced that it will be closing August 17th), whose casts performed in Bryant Park this week, in the order in which they were presented at the concert. The videos run from 17-second excerpts (a “short”) to the full four minute plus musical number.

Gacie Lawrence sang “Who’s Sorry Now,” the signature song of Connie Francis, a day after the popular singer died at the age of 87. Lawrence is portraying Francis in the Broadway musical “Just in Time,” about Bobby Darin, because they were first loves. “I would implore all of you to go and listen to the real thing after,” Lawrence told the audience, “and you’ll hear resilience and character and personality and humor and tenderness and strength.”
Matthew Magnusson, Julia Grondin, Larkin Reilly, and Valeria Yamin perform “Splish Splash,” which was Bobby Darin’s first hit.
