Choose your favorite Broadway cast recording of 2024* from among the 16 in the poll below, listed alphabetically. More on each album in links at bottom.
*Two of the albums are not of Broadway shows at all, but they are of irrefutable interest to Broadway listeners – “Here We Are,” the cast recording of Stephen Sondheim’s finall musical, which ran at The Shed, which is not a Broadway theater, and “The Warriors,” a concept album by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis, which was not in any theater.
**Death Becomes Her has released only four tracks of a cast recording that will not be fully released until 2025.
I included several cast recordings that were released in 2024 of musicals that opened in 2023. I also left out several musicals that opened on Broadway in 2024, because their cast recordings are of previous productions, or are not released yet (or may never be.)
