The first-ever Books on Broadway series, featuring conversations with authors and theater artists, will be part of the twentieth anniversary of the Bryant Park Reading Room every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m. starting on May 17th. Below is the schedule for the first five events in the series, each with host Ilana Levine.

Harvey Fierstein, author of the memoir “I Was Better Last Night” and of the revised libretto of the Broadway musical “Funny Girl”. (My review of Fierstein’s memoir.)

Amir Arison, an actor in the stage adaptation by playwright Matthew Spangler of the novel The Kite Runner, which is coming to Broadway’s Helen Hayes theater from July 6 to October 30, 2022.
Tuesday, June 7

Tom Moore and Ken Waissman, director and producer of the original Broadway production of “Grease,” and the co-authors of Grease Tell Me More Tell Me More Stories from the Broadway Phenomenon That Started It All
