



The New York Drama Critics’ Circle has named Samuel D. Hunter’s “A Case for the Existence of God” best play of the 2021-22 season, and David Lindsay-Abaire’s and Jeanine Tesori’s “Kimberly Akimbo” as the best musical.
Special citation was awarded: to actor and director Austin Pendleton for 60 years of work in the theater; and an Emerging Talent Citation to Sanaz Toossi, whose “English” and “Wish You Were Here” were both produced this season.
