We got many questions that we’ll be answering tonight, “most of them about Jonathan Groff’s spit,” Tommy Kail, the director of “Hamilton,” announced at the outset of a 90-minute virtual “Hamilton Town Hall” fundraiser for Presidential candidate Joe Biden last night, which drew an online audience of some 100,000 donors. Groff didn’t actually answer any questions, although he did appear briefly during the singing finale wearing a paper crown with the words “Biden/Harris” inked in. Click on the photographs below for some of the comments; the most popular was from Christopher Jackson.
Then watch the video of the finale below, as well as of the whole event.

“I was elated. I mean how many times do you get to perform for the president of the United States”? –Javier Munoz, talking about performing as Alexander Hamilton in front of President Barack Obama.

The most important line in Hamilton? Ephraim Sykes nails it: “History has its eyes on you.” He means YOU (all of us), and he means now. Will you Vote?

How does producer Jeffrey Seller chooses his shows? “I don’t know what it’s like to be struck by a bolt of lightning, but I know what it’s like to be experiencing something so rhythmic, so melodic, so visceral, it makes my body shake.” (Sounds painful.) Nobody asked him about that weird pooping painting behind him.

Daveed Diggs was asked about the first night on Broadway, after 117 performances of the musical downtown. “I didn’t have any Broadway aspiration. I thought you guys would replace me My life seems to be falling through a series of trap doors” – But he was surprised to discover how emotional that first Broadway show was. (It didn’t hurt that his parents were in the audience.”

Can we still find this to watch if we donate?
You can see the video of the song on this post.
I’ve added the full video now as well.
