Patti LuPone has made Twitter and YouTube her stage to perform some blunt take-downs of Donald Trump, in response to his debate performance and his post-hospital balcony scene, which she compares to her Tony-winning performance in “Evita.”
LuPone joins Randy Rainbow in a new video number, “If Donald Got Fired,” set to the tune of “If Mama was Married” from Gypsy. Sample verse:
If Donald get fired, would that be sublime
I’d put down my bottles and bongs
I’d be back on Broadway and belting Sondheim
Instead of cheap Internet parody songs
