Win two tickets to see La Soiree, a theatrical spectacle that Entertainment Weekly called “a mesmerizing hybrid of sideshow, vaudeville & burlesque” and Flavorpill said is “definitely not for kids but oh so much fun for adults.” La Soiree is playing at the Union Square Theater (100 East 17th Street) through March 30, 2014.
To enter the contest, please answer ONE of the following two questions:
What work of theater has most seemed like a party to you?
What’s the most bizarre act you’ve ever seen onstage?
(Please make clear which question you’re answering.)
1. Please put your answer in the comments at the bottom of this blog post, because the winner will be chosen through Random.org based on the order of your reply, not its content.
But you must answer the question fully or your entry will not be approved for submission.
2. Please sign up for my weekly e-mail newsletter.
3. This contest ends Friday, December 13, 2013 at midnight Eastern Time, and I will make the drawing no later than noon the following Monday. You must respond to my e-mail within 24 hours or I will choose another winner.
To qualify for the tickets, you must be in New York able to attend one of the eligible performances as will be laid out in the voucher.
(Since I’m choosing by the order in which you submit, please do not write me more than once. All submissions have to be approved, so you won’t necessarily see your entry right away: Please be patient.)

The work of theatre that has seemed most like a party to me….Mama Mia of course. I was singing and dancing to almost all the songs.
The last seen of Kinky boots was a definite party. Everyone was up dancing and the costumes were just outstanding.
Disaster: The Musical was like a party. My wife and I were singing, laughing and dancing in our seats the entire time. This little off-Broadway gem really surprised us.
The work of theater that seemed the most like a party to me was jersey boys! The songs were incredible and for the finale everyone rose to their feet and belted their faces off while dancing! @kyledmorales
What work of theater has most seemed like a party to you? It would have to be Fuerza Bruta! Music! Lights! It was great!
Wonderful giveaway! I am Swedish and of course I grew up with ABBA. So I must say Mamma Mia has most seemed like a party to me. I was just enjoying every moment 🙂
I saw serious money, and the most bizzare thing I’ve seen on stage was a group of wall street working thursting their pelvis and humping the air as they sang profanities about sex and sexual organs. It was both disturbing and hilarious.
One of the most bizarre acts I’ve seen onstage were the bondage-esque dancers in Nutcracker Rouge. Lots of the costumes were beautiful but the leather clad bondage dancers were a sight to see!
