As recent news should make abundantly clear, wearing masks is crucial for everybody — and that includes theatergoers — as part of a vigilant safety regimen that also includes social distancing and frequent hand washing. The masks above are available for sale from four sources. The “Vote” mask is a 1944 illustration of FDR by premiere theater illustrator Al Hirschfeld and is available at the Al Hirschfeld Foundation. (The illustration is part of a new online exhibition of Hirshfeld’s drawings of presidents, both actual ones and fictional from stage and screen.)
