Every night from now until the end of the summer, you can watch a free movie somewhere outdoors in New York City — and whole movie series every weeknight except Tuesdays.
The movies vary widely: current and recent blockbusters (“A Star is Born” on Coney Island; “Black Panther” in Central Park); new releases (“First Man” at the Intrepid); a movie that’s the source of a current Broadway musical (“Tootsie” at Pier 63 in Chelsea), some obscure and intriguing foreign films (at Socrates Sculpture Park) family fare, cult favorites, classics, art films.. Below are the schedules for movie nights in some specific parks, piers, and plazas, as well as a beach, a battleship and an island. Each movie series is linked to its website for more details.
