Set on the remote island of Inishmaan off the west coast of Ireland, word arrives that a Hollywood film is being made on the neighboring island of Inishmore. The one person who wants to be in the film more than anybody is young Cripple Billy (Radcliffe), if only to break away from the bitter tedium of his daily life.
To win a pair of tickets to the show on any Tuesday to Thursday performance of your choosing (although some blackout dates may apply), answer this question:

My fave Radcliffe moment was in ‘How to Succeed In Business…’ (which I saw him in many times), when he started really dancing during “Brotherhood of Man”, leading the ensemble and everything, because he was so surprisingly good (and had clearly worked and trained so hard to prepare, as a confessed non-dancer), and the audience erupted with joy and awe that little “Harry Potter” was so multitalented! 🙂 It was impressive.

My favorite line said by Daniel was in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” at the end of the movie when he looks Jason Isaacs in the eye after Jason’s remark of “Let us hope Harry Potter will always be around to save the day.” and utters the line “Don’t worry, I will be.”
Daniel was only 12 years old when he said this line, and it was not scripted. Jason was supposed to walk out of the scene, but felt his character would not have left without having the last word, and so he uttered his restort, and Daniel, all of 12 years old, replied one of the most stunning verbal slaps in the face. Even now, 12 years later, it is one of the most amazing “woah” moments in dialogue I have ever heard.
My favorite performance moment for Daniel Radcliffe was his energetic dance number in “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying” because he was out of his comfort zone and able to successfully entertain the audience with his hard earned new skill. @mymusicboxes
In Equus, the climax when he was lying there on the hay bales, finally revealing his story to the great Richard Griffiths, but he had those magnificent horses jumping over him, the great metal hooves inches from his head, lights flashing, noise. He was in total meltdown, totally naked (metaphorically and physically), baring the character’s soul to the audience. The power was amazing. I was terrified and gutted. Narrowing it down to one single moment is very tough, as Daniel is an outstanding actor. One scene that stands out, would be his performance in Order of the Phoenix, where he witnesses his godfather (Sirius Black) die before his eyes. The emotion he called upon in that scene was incredible and heartbreaking. What made that scene even more amazing, was the fact that Dan hadn’t lost anyone close to him at that time. He did not have that past experience to draw from. Daniel fully commits himself to every role/project he takes on. He is a fantastic role model and I admire his work ethic.

My favorite Dan Radcliffe line comes from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, though in general, it’s the cheeky lines Harry always spoke to his professors across the eight Potter films. The actors were always these off-the-charts respected icons of British cinema and Radcliffe always held his own. In Phoenix, he’s up against the incredible Imelda Staunton, who has been deceived and is angrily arguing with a dangerous gang of centaurs. She begs Harry for help, but he does nothing but repeat the vicious phrase she literally bled into his skin…”Sorry, Professor, but I must not tell lies.” Perfect.

My favorite DanRad moment was in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 when he was walking to his death. Such pure and raw emotions and further proof of what a great actor he is.

My favorite scene with him is in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince when he looses Sirius and Lupin holds him back. It is raw emotion and you can see how his acting had improved from the third and fourth movies. @BabybeansGV
My favorite moment of his is his dance scene with Emma Watson in harry potter 7.1. I felt like it was a great moment for the characters story wise but also for the actors in their second to last movie. I also felt that him and Emma had great chemistry in that moment.

That is a really tough question to answer but its probably a tie between the first dancing scene in How to Succeed. I remember just being in amazement at how amazing he was at dancing and how much hard work and dedication he put into the show.
But I also think in Harry Potter and the Order of the phoneix, the scene with him losing Sirius was very powerful and emotional, just like how I pictured it and no matter how many times I see it, it will always make me cry and feel something.

In ‘How to Succeed’ when he is trying to impress his boss by pretending to stay up late. He takes a trash can full of papers and scatters the contents around his desk. In less than a second, he leapt onto the desk in a sleeping position. The flexibility and comic timing were amazing! @strangastrange

My favorite Daniel Radcliffe moment has to be discovering him in a TV production of David Copperfield in which he plays the title role opposite Bob Hoskins and Maggie Smith before he was cast in the Harry Potter movies. He’s very young but even then he shows his special talent.
I love in the final Harry Potter movie when Snape as headmaster is lecturing the hall of students about anyone who has knowledge of HPs wearabouts needs to come forward. And then Daniel Radcliffe pops out of the crowd. The hatred that he shows Snaps is terrific acting. @charmingmonique
I surprised my daughter with front row seats for “How to Succeed”. When Daniel came out of the pit on the window washing platform and was close enough for my daughter to touch (but she didn’t!), I saw the look on her face and it was magical! He didn’t even have to say a word! But his whole performance remains one of my fondest Broadway memories!

How to Succeed in Business… “Remember mediocrity is not a mortal sin.” I find this line extremely funny and ironic, because he once said in an interview that he believes that calling someone mediocre is one of the WORST insults someone can receive.

He is my favorite actor and I have seen all of his work multiple times. What a delight to see him perform live in How to Succeed and Equus. We are blessed to have such a hardworking and talented actor frequent the Broadway stage.
I’ll pull an example from his most known role: Harry Potter. One of my favorite scenes of his is the possession scene in Order of the Phoenix – I found it to be very powerful and I believe Radcliffe came up with how to portray it on his own. As he’s writhing on the floor, he expels Voldemort from the room with one of my favorite lines, “you’re the weak one. you’ll never know love, or friendship. and I feel sorry for you”

One of my favorite DanRad moments has to be his final performance in H2$B, especially “Brotherhood of Man.” He received the longest standing ovation I’ve ever seen from an audience. Everyone, including the cast alongside him, held him up in that moment, some of us with tears of joy. It was a triumphant performance after an amazingly successful run and I’m so happy I was in the theater that night. Bravo, Dan! So excited to see Cripple of Inishmaan.

One of my favorite recent performances by Daniel Radcliffe was his portrayal of Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings. Specifically, when his character is with Lucien Carr and he reads him the Wonderland poem. Radcliffe portrayed Ginsberg’s vulnerability beautifully.

Best Daniel Radcliffe quote is “Working hard is important. But there is something that matters even more, believing in yourself.” from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because sometimes things just strike you in the right way. Hearing that line just put some things into perspective and made me feel good about myself when I realized that it is who I am that is what matters, not what I do. Love Daniel Radcliffe as an actor and would absolutely LOVE to see him in Cripple Of Inishmaan!

My favorite Radcliffe moment is in the final Harry Potter film, when Harry says goodbye to Ron and Hermione before going to the forest, where he thinks he will die. To me, that moment is just so heartbreaking, because these actors had grown up together in these films, and they played the moment with so much truth and honesty. I totally lost it.

Having missed Equus, I’m going to have to go with the the Felix Felicis bit in Half-Blood Prince. He just seemed so free and fun, a departure from what’s a largely serious role, followed by him having to get the memory from Slughorn, which is genuinely touching. It starts as just a genuinely fun to watch–one of the few scenes where my internal monologue critiquing the adaptation from book to screen just shuts off and lets me enjoy what I’m watching–and then it turns into a beautiful, powerful scene.
My favorite Radcliffe moment is in Equus, Dysart makes contact with Alan by playing a game where each of them asks a question, which must be answered honestly. I was completely engaged by their scenes together, which generate the genuine tension of clashing minds longing to meld.

Thought he was amazing in both shows on broadway but the specific moment that sprang to my mind was in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when Professor Umbridge is about to be dragged off and she begs for Harry to tell the centaurs she’s harmless and he gets to say “Sorry professor, I must.not.tell.lies.” Saw this movie a couple times in theaters and the crowd reaction was always really satisfying, delivered perfectly. My favorite Daniel Radcliffe moment (to date) was on the TV show Extras, where he spoofs himself. He’s dressed up like a Boy Scout for a scene, and while waiting to go on, tries to pick up an actress by offering her a cigarette and then informing her that “he’s done it with a girl, you know, intercourse wise.” But then his mother calls him…. I loved Daniel’s Harry Potter, it was nice to see him age as does his character. I missed Daniel’s Broadway debut in Equus, but did catch him in How to Succeed and was very impressed that his stage presence was just as strong as his screen. In addition to his acting I also loved how he sang and danced, the chemistry he had with the other cast members really showed, especially in the performance of Brotherhood of Man, one of my favorite numbers from the show. Looking forward to seeing his performance in The Cripple of Inishmaan.
There are a lot of great moments to choose from here! I think actually one of my favorite moments is a very small scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Ron has just left and both Harry and Hermione are in the tent. They’ve been on the run for weeks and are carrying the horcrux locket. Harry gets Hermione to her feet and they dance. It’s such an earnest and genuine moment that reminds you that even in the midst of this war, there is still the possibility of joy.

“Grand Old Ivy” in H2$ showed me that Dan Rad was a true all around entertainer. He could sing, dance and act and he blew me away.
And of course the scene in Equus where Alan blinds the horses showed me Daniel’s ability to play a scene with all of the passion and intensity in the world. A true dramatic actor at his best.
Those are 2 of my favorite Dan Rad scenes bc they show the complexities of his acting abilities.

With the Harry Potter series, we knew Daniel could act. When the actor began to sing “How To Succeed” at the beginning of H2$, he showed us an amazing talent. That first song in the show was my favorite Radcliffe moment because he showed to the world how a great singer-dancer he was, on top of being a great actor. His performance in H2$ was a real tour-de-force and he should have been nominated for a Tony ! (sorry for my English, I’m a French-Canadien Broadway geek !)

I could talk about all those Harry Potter moments because I love the film series so much, but I have to say that the first scenes of Equus was a true revelation. Radcliffe showed his versatility as an actor, proving that he is more than a child film actor. It takes great talents to lead a play and from those first few lines in Equus, Daniel showed that a great stage career was part of his future!

I’m partial to the Funny or Die video entitled, “I Am Harry Potter.” He’s a great sport to go from the large scale Harry Potter movies to claiming he has “broom burn” on a YouTube video. “Do you know much tiger balm I’ve gone through every day?” is a priceless line. @JustSy
In The Woman in Black, when Arthur (played by DR) goes to the police station to make his complaint about the trespasser at the mansion, Victoria Hardy is brought in by two other girls. She’s violently ill and dies in Arthur’s arms. This is the moment where the story shifts from a ghost story at arm’s length to Arthur realizing the gravity of the situation. You see the shift in Daniel’s eyes as he sees that the events are much bigger than him and it’s terrorizing. He is helpless and frightened, no doubt thinking about his own child, and at the mercy of the otherworldly powers at play. @pete_forester
His performance in Equus was really impressive–it’s a play I know quite well and those moments when the character of Alan had his small epiphanies, made discoveries about himself and the world, were so well played. Mr. Radcliffe suggested in those moments that Alan might allow himself to hope he could get better. @mlottjr
The best moment in a performance of Daniel would have to be during How to Succeed. When something would go Finch’s way and he would have to do that excited side to the audience, he had the best facial expressions. He brought so much energy to that show on a daily basis. He was extraordinary.
