Ticket Giveaway: Win tickets to any two shows on the list of 20at20.
The 20at20 program is a bi-annual celebration of Off-Broadway. From now until September 22, 2013, some 40 participating Off-Broadway shows will offer $20 tickets at the box office, 20 minutes before curtain. (Certain restrictions apply.)
To promote the program, I’m offering the winner of this contest TWO pairs of tickets. Pick any two shows from the list below.
To enter the contest, look at the list of shows below, all of them participants in the 20at20 program, and explain which two you want to see.–AND WHY
Please remember to say WHY
1. Please put your answer in the comments at the bottom of this blog post, because the winner will be chosen through Random.org based on the order of your reply, not its content.
But you must answer the question fully, or your entry will not be approved for submission.
2. Please include in your answer your Twitter name and follow my Twitter feed at @NewYorkTheater so that I can send you a direct message. (If you don’t have a Twitter name, create one. It’s free.)
3. This contest ends Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at midnight Eastern Time, and I will make the drawing no later than noon the next day. You must respond to my direct message on Twitter within 24 hours or I will choose another winner.
You must also be in New York able to attend one of the eligible performances.
(Since I’m choosing by the order in which you submit, please do not write me more than once. Make sure you have all the requirements — such as your Twitter name — before submitting. All submissions have to be approved, so you won’t necessarily see your entry right away. Please be patient.)

I would love to see Bayside (as it looks hilarious, and I enjoyed their Jessie Spano, April Kidwell, in Showgirls: The Musical from the same creators!), and Harbour, which I hear is wonderful from friends who have seen it (and I like Randy Harrison, who I believe is in it). @ladystardust25 on Twitter
..I would like to see ¨Bill W & Dr Bob¨,because I¨ve spent more than 5 years without drinking, once upon in my life, nowadays I am so pleased whit IPA beers,. And SISTAS, which sinopsis makes me think they have real moving and hilarant moments all along the show..on TWITTER csrt_jc
I would like to see Women or Nothing – I love the Coen brothers and have heard very positive reviews of this production! I also want to see Peter and the Starcatcher. I’ve always been interested in seeing this, since it first appeared off broadway, then on broadway, now off broadway again, but somehow never got around to it – this time I will! I love the Peter Pan story. My mother told me she saw Peter Pan starring Mary Martin when she was pregnant with me!.
My twitter name is @katruns26point2
thanks
I would love to see Avenue Q because it’s hilarious and I’m going through a Princeton phase right now getting out of college. Additionally, I love Peter and the Starcatcher. The show never fails to make me laugh but also gives me an inspiring feeling.

I would love to see Around the World because the book fascinated me so much, and who doesn’t love the movie with Jackie Chan like come on? Also Peter and the Starcatcher because the Broadway production was so fantastic, and I would like to see how this cast goes about playing the characters. @hrhchriscoifer on twitter 🙂
Harbor because hey Randy Harrison isin itand Women or Nothing…story of my life! @pegc4
I would live to Bayside and iLuminate because interesting and innovative theatre needs to be supported!
@RyanCBrinson
I would like to see Unbroken Circle and iLuminate: Artist of Light. Unbroken Circles makes me think of all the family secrets that exist in my family. Right now the “Godmother” of the family is very sick. I would hope for a death bed confession but I think she is taking one very Big Family secret to the grave.
I picked iLuminate: Artist of Light.as my other chose since my Daughter-in-law loves art and Music, if I won I would take her with me to see the show.She is 7 months pregnant and is Mom to a two year old. Even though I help her out she can use a break. Heck we could both use the break. Lourdes @PiscesMist
What a wonderful giveaway!
I would love to see Women or nothing because Ethan Cohen is one of my favorite playwrights and I always get inspired by him and his stories. Would also love to see Fuerza Bruta beacuse I want to experience something new and amazing.. @EmelyDrugge
I’d love to see “Bayside! The Saved By The Bell Musical!” because April Kidwell can do no wrong (seriously, her Nomi Malone in “Showgirls” was brilliant!) and “Fuerza Bruta” because it sounds pretty awesome. @josekicksass
I would like to see iLuminate. I would like to see a show that takes you on a surreal, “illuminating”, fantasy like journey where you can ooh and ahh and forget the real world for a little bit. @Siwckc
i would like to see bayside because i love me some kelly kapowski, and avenue q because puppet sex. @panic13b
I would love to see Tennessee Williams’ The Two Character Play. I’m a huge fan of Tennessee Williams and have loved all of his work I’ve read. I would also love to see Women or Nothing. The storyline seems interesting and I am interested to see Ethan Cohen’s work as a playwright.
@bridg4491
I would love to see Sistas the musical because the show looks like so much fun! I would certainly sing-a-long and dance to all of the songs! The second show that I would love to see is the fantasticks because the show has been out for so many years and I would love to see what all of the hype is about! @kyledmorales
I would like to see Tennessee Williams’s “The Two Character Play”. I am a fan of his plays and I feel that his works speaks for itself. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is another one I would like to see. I did my own gospel musical “All God’s Children Got Shoes” at St. Luke’s in 2007 to a sell out audience. I like the magic of the Lion, Witch and Wardrobe and the quaintness of St. Luke’s
I would like to see iLuminate: Artist of Light. I am intrigued to see a show that showcases the combination of technology (key point), dance, and music. Besides, many of my friends have recommended this show! @yccresearch
I would love to see the Unbroken Circle, as I am a huge fan of Seth Rudetsky and would like to see this work in progress. I would also love to see Fuerza Bruta, as after a long week of craziness, I could use the rush and release of energy. @bbwithpickles
I would love to see Peter and the Starcatcher. 🙂 I saw it on Broadway and it had me laughing the entire time! It was such an amazing show and I would love to see it with a different cast. I would also want to see Unbroken Circle. Seth Rudetsky is a genius and I would love to see this show! @sassafrass227
I would like to see Unbroken Circles because of its plot involves family secrets and I’m a fan of Seth Rudetsky and Eve Plumb. I also would like to see iLuminate: Artist of Light because I’m a fan of innovative theatre! @margaritaviera
I would like to see The Fantasticks and Peter and the Starcatcher. The Fantasticks because it is a classic off-broadway show that has been running forever and I have never seen it; also because it brings back memories of the fabulous Jerry Orbach singing “Try to Remember.” Peter and the Starcatcher because all of my friends who have seen it tell me that is one show I must see; and also because I have always had a soft spot in my heart for anything Peter Pan related. @MicheleW_86
Would love to see Bayside! as I simly LOVE Saved by the Bell, even though I saw it in syndication, Soemthing I did see was Peter and the Starcatcher, but would love to see it again in a more intimate space as I felt the show was best written that way.
